The Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon pecializes in disorders of the mouth, teeth, jaws and facial structures. After four years of post-graduate dental school education, an oral and maxillofacial surgeon completes an additional four years of intensive, hospital based surgical residency training. Oral surgery residents spend time rotating through related medical fields such as internal medicine, general surgery, anesthesiology, plastic surgery and emergency medicine.
Anesthesia
Because of our extensive training in both surgery and anesthesia we are able to provide a wide variety of procedures in an office setting. Various types of anesthesia including local anesthesia, intravenous sedation and general anesthesia are options available in the office for the appropriate patient and treatment. Our office is equipped with the most up-to-date monitoring equipment and a well trained staff for a safe and comfortable anesthesia experience.
